I Love Jesus, I am thankful that he saved my worthless life. I am glad to follow him. Although not always glad in every moment. Some of the following can be difficult. Jesus didn't promise the better road here, He promised the better road when you get home in heaven. The Place Jesus is at now building your personal home, for those who have become his disciples.
I'm sure just like me, you have looked around today at this world. You have seen what it has become. ( 2 Timothy 3:1-5 ) I'm sure at the end of your hard day you find yourself a time or two asking if there really is much good left. We work so hard in this life to make it great, but it will be a waste of time, and become a failure in the end. The only way to have the "Good Life" you long for is to put your faith in Jesus. This is exactly what this scripture is telling you. You must dumped the ways of the World for the ways in the WORD!
Jesus says this in plain speech. If you want a better life follow me. If you continue to go your own way, make for yourself your own life it will end up a total loss. Jesus says in Matthew 6:20 your true treasures that you want to keep should be stored in heaven, as those on earth will erode away to nothing. You can't take earth to heaven. Put your life in Jesus hands...trust and follow him down the road....YES it will get bumpy...but at the end of this road you will find the life your heart has longed for your whole life.
